Photo Credit: ICTG | This is an intensive month for disaster responders around the country. Yesterday marked the 5th anniversary of an EF5 tornado tearing through Joplin, MO. Today is the 2nd anniversary of the shooting at the University of California, Santa Barbara. These events matter a lot to ICTG Blog readers, because many of you were directly impacted by them or were among some of the first responders. Many of you are aware, too, that this year was an unusually early tornado season, you're preparing for what may come in the approaching hurricane season, and you're caring for families affected by violence. |
Long after national media have moved on, when first responders are on to the next immediate crisis, faith communities remain present to provide long term emotional and spiritual support, especially during the ups and downs of restoration.
If you are a clergy member, staff director, or lay minister looking for educational tools or networking to increase your abilities in providing long term care for your community, you'll find a lot of free resources throughout the ICTG website, including:
Youth Ministry Tools
Spiritual Formation Tools
Campus Ministry Tools
