John first learned about ICTG from Executive Director Rev. Dr. Kate Wiebe, whom he met at a national response team training.
“I believe the vision Kate has is contagious,” said John, “An individual doesn't need witness many disasters to understand the importance of strong prepared congregations in the aftermath of trauma. As a new Board member, I hope to help strengthen the financial balance sheet so the vision of ICTG can grow and thrive.”
John is the seventh member of the ICTG Board, chaired by Rev. Dr. Bruce Wismer.
“John’s business savvy will be a great benefit to the development of our mission. As a first responder and a previous member of a national response team, John's experience is invaluable. He knows the complexity of trauma and is aware that congregations and church leadership need great resources and tools in addressing the impacts of trauma,” said Bruce.
