On September 7, 2013, wherever you are, either set out on a run, or a walk, a hike, or a ride, or be in prayer for those who are setting out this morning. The event and the length are up to you – make it meaningful!
Today, participants around the country are dedicating a sport – a run, walk, hike, or ride – to congregations, volunteers, or ministers who are steadfast in the work of long-term post-disaster ministry. Some of the who and why of their dedications have been shared over the last two months in the 2013 RWHB blog. More will be shared this weekend and early next week. So far, participants are coming from Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and California. They are helping to raise awareness and funding for ICTG programs by contributing a registration fee and asking friends and family to sponsor your ride or route.
The money raised from today will go to supporting programs this fall and spring. You can find out more about ICTG programs here.
ICTG is a 501c3 organization – if you would like to support a participant in the 2013 RWHB Challenge, gifts can be made online here or by downloading this printable form to mail in a check. And you can learn more about this challenge here.
